Sunday's Worst (Week 3)

Colts: Oh how the mighty have fallen! I have to say that placing the Indianapolis Colts on our Sunday's Worst column feels about as natural as chewing on my own ear. The sharp decline of the recently dominating franchise has them ranked 27th in passing with a meager 174 yards per game and a dismal 23rd in average rushing yards at 86.5.

The Colts themselves probably didn't see it going this badly when they picked up former Titan's quarterback Kerry Collins. The thought was likely that the 38 year-old veteran would rekindle some of the fire he displayed when he led the Titans to a 13-3 mark as a back-up in 2008. Collins stepped in for an Injured Vince Young in week two and played 14 games posting a win/loss record of 12-3, including a loss in the divisional playoffs.

Instead, The Colts have received two games that combine for 2 touchdowns, 1 interception, and only 388 yards from Collins. To put that into perspective, Tom Brady has beaten Collin's touchdown and yards totals over two games in each one of his games individually!

The Colts are facing the Steelers this week. Let's see... a strong defense coming off of a shut-out win against an anemic offense. Hmmmm... Tough one.

Broncos: Kyle Orton is more than ready to lead a successful offense and Knowshon Moreno is a more than capable back. Yet, Denver ranks 28th overall in rushing yards allowed at 131 per game! The Broncos' inability to get the defense off the field has been extremely troublesome in both weeks so far this year. The thought of Chris Johnson and Matt Hasselbeck playing against this defense leaves me certain that the Bronco's chances of winning are thinner than the air in their stadium.
