ANGRIER BIRD!!!

The Seattle Seahawks may not be the toast of the NFL, but their running back is quickly becoming a household name. Taking his opportunity to dazzle in front of a national audience on Thursday Night Football, Marshawn "Beast Mode" Lynch ran up and down a weary Eagles team amassing 148 yards on 22 carries and 2 touchdowns (One for 40 yards).

Lynch's 6.7 yard per carry average for the game is even more impressive when you consider Seattle's questionable and extremely young offensive line, a unit that has not had the same five starters all year.

At one point, Lynch ran smack into what seemed like the entire Philly defensive line and, a full two seconds later, surged back out with his legs still churning full speed for a 15 yard touchdown. At times, it is as if Seattle doesn't even need the O-line they have when Marshawn gets the rock.

That led me to the sobering thought of what Seattle might have over the next few years if they were to actually obtain an offensive line. Food for thought.

As for the Eagles, they are now officially finished. the Seahawks are basically finished this season as well, but unlike the Eagles, are peaking at a good point in the season and are showing brute toughness. Marshawn Lynch and the Seahawks are proving the same point they proved wild card weekend last season when they upset the heavily favored Saints; You don't have to be the best team to be one of the more entertaining. This 2011 campaign has seen the 'Hawks knock off the Ravens, Giants and now the Eagles. How many of us would have bet differently on all of those games just before this season began?

If you are not raising your hand... You are either armless or truthless.

The Eagles' laziness and self motivation as a team is championed well by DeSean Jackson who gave up on several routes and then sat on the sidelines after failed drives pouting. The entire team, minus a select few lacked a whole lot of focus and nearly any drive! Marshawn lynch didn't simply beat up on the Eagles defense on Thursday night, he exposed them by contrasting effort for the overpaid, whiny, self servers that they are.

Maybe Andy Reid should drop a few contracts and throw Lynch a bonus check for the lesson. In the meantime, I believe Marshawn has something for Andy Reid.
